Dr Keen Cheok

Dr Keen is an experienced consultant GP who completed his medical training in Melbourne in 2008, and subsequently undertook extensive further training in Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Joondalup Hospital in nearly every field of adult internal medicine, as well as emergency medicine, intensive care, geriatrics, palliative care, sexual health medicine.
In 2015, Dr Keen entered general practice to help the vast communities outside of the limitation of the hospital environment. Dr Keen's major interests are in all aspects of medicine, but with special interests in diagnostic medicine, medical imaging, acute and chronic disease treatment and management in adults, elderly and men's populations, medication rationalisation and deprescribing.
Over the years, Dr Keen has trained many medical students and junior doctors as well as examined for UWA and the RACGP. Most recently, Dr Keen has been a longstanding Director of Clinical Services for a large not for profit community health service in the SouthWest region, and volunteered previously as a management committee member for the Hudson Road Family Centre, as well as various local council environmental conservation projects and tree planting efforts.
Dr Keen is also currently a consultant doctor for Urgent Care centres.
In his spare time, Dr Keen enjoys travelling around the world, trying to keep fit at the local gym, dabbling with the guitar, as well as various DIY home maintenance and improvement projects , and spending time with family and friends.
