Welcome to your new GP home! We are Doctors. Done Different.

At the Village Medical Practice Harrisdale, our vision is to create a space where you can feel relaxed when visiting your doctor. We desire to connect with you on a personal level and work together to create a shared health plan for you. The concept of visiting your family doctor in the doctors own home, is a concept that is seen frequently in Scotland where Dr Stuart and Dr Ellie (the owners, GP’s in the practice and inspiration behind the entire concept) are originally from. Since our inception, we have enjoyed turning this vision into reality. We have chosen staff who are caring and friendly, along with creating a waiting lounge that is relaxed and has the creature comforts of home. We have comfortable couches, a dining table to feed your little one and high back reading chairs to relax. On our walls you will find original contemporary art work as well as a digital aquarium in our children’s area. Uniquely for general practice, we have gone that additional step, to employ our very own, highly-skilled Baristas, who will be happy to offer you a complimentary drink on arrival at The Bothy Coffee Shop.  From a clinical perspective, our practice has state of the art equipment and patient monitoring systems to allow us to provide the best quality patient care and digitally store and email results to you.

Our aim is to create a village community that allows our patients to feel supported in their life journey and  provide opportunities for community engagement and connection through health education and creative events in our beautiful lounge room waiting area. 

At The Village Medical Practice, we have a heart for those less fortunate than ourselves. Our staff clothing is purchased through FIGS, a company that through THREADS FOR THREADS, supports healthcare professionals working in resource poor countries around the world. We also provide THANKYOU handwash in our washrooms as we wish to support this brand whose mission is to help create a world where not one person lives in extreme poverty.

We are also keen to support future doctors and nurses in their training. As such we are affiliated with the University of Western Australia, the University of Notre Dame, Curtin University and Edith Cowan University.
